Engineer Ayodeji Sodrudeen Abolore, popularly known as ASA, has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
ASA made his declaration on Friday at Lakijena, Kemta, Abeokuta, in the presence of party faithful, supporters, and community leaders, where he unveiled a people-focused agenda centred on empowerment, education, healthcare, and grassroots development.
Addressing the gathering, the aspirant said his decision to join the race was driven by a strong desire to deliver purposeful representation that directly impacts the lives of constituents.

“My aspiration is driven by the desire to bring practical and people-oriented development to every ward in Abeokuta South,” he said.
Abolore identified access to finance for small businesses as a key priority, pledging to introduce loan schemes that would support entrepreneurs and traders across the constituency.
He also promised to prioritise healthcare for elderly residents, noting that his agenda includes free healthcare support for aged citizens.
On empowerment, ASA assured residents of practical initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods through skills acquisition, business grants, and targeted support programmes.
He emphasised youth development as a critical component of his agenda, stating that structured programmes would be introduced to prepare young people for future opportunities.
Speaking on education, the APC aspirant pledged to facilitate free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for students, alongside scholarship opportunities for deserving individuals.
“No talented child in Abeokuta South should miss higher education because of financial limitations,” he added.
Abolore further pledged support for artisans, including tailors, mechanics, carpenters, and hairdressers, through the provision of tools, training, and financial assistance to boost their productivity.
He assured that development efforts under his representation would cut across all the 15 wards in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, with a focus on equitable distribution of projects.
According to him, his legislative agenda would prioritise initiatives that address the real needs of the people and ensure inclusive growth.

He called on party leaders, members, and residents to support his aspiration, expressing confidence that his vision would resonate widely across the constituency.
