…describe Him as a Unifying Leader
By Peter Taiwo
Supporters and leaders of the Accord Party in Kaduna State have renewed their support for the party’s presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, expressing confidence in his capacity to provide purposeful leadership and tackle Nigeria’s socio-economic and political challenges ahead of the 2027 general election.
The reaffirmation was made during a well-attended rally held in Kaduna on Tuesday, where party members, youth groups, women associations, and community leaders converged to demonstrate solidarity with the Accord Party flag bearer.
Addressing supporters at the event, party chieftain Sabo Jimeta praised Olawepo-Hashim’s contributions to national discourse, commitment to democratic ideals, and advocacy for economic reforms and national unity.
Jimeta described the presidential hopeful as a leader with the vision, experience, and capacity required to steer Nigeria towards greater stability and development.
The rally attracted a large turnout of supporters who displayed banners and placards bearing messages of support for the Accord Party candidate. Songs, chants, and other displays of enthusiasm characterised the gathering.
One of the prominent messages displayed by supporters was a Hausa inscription describing Olawepo-Hashim as “the saviour of Nigeria,” reflecting the confidence many attendees said they have in his leadership qualities and political agenda.
Party officials at the event noted that the Accord Party recently concluded its affirmation primaries in several states, where Olawepo-Hashim reportedly received overwhelming support from delegates and party members.
According to the officials, the outcome of the exercise underscored growing confidence in his vision for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.
Supporters maintained that Olawepo-Hashim offers Nigerians an alternative political platform focused on economic revitalisation, industrial growth, national cohesion, and inclusive governance.
They argued that the country requires leaders with practical ideas, proven experience, and a broad national outlook capable of addressing the challenges confronting citizens across various sectors.
Several speakers at the rally called on Nigerians to rally behind candidates they believe can deliver sustainable development and strengthen national unity.
The Kaduna mobilisation is expected to be followed by similar activities in other parts of the country as the Accord Party ramps up preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Party stakeholders expressed optimism that sustained grassroots engagement and issue-based campaigns would improve the party’s visibility and electoral prospects in the coming polls.
The gathering concluded with a renewed pledge by supporters to work towards expanding the party’s reach across communities and mobilising voters ahead of the next electoral cycle.
