The Federal Government has announced the itinerary for the arrival of the first batch of Nigerian citizens being repatriated from South Africa.

The Nigerians are fleeing ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

A statement released on Tuesday by spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, said they will arrive at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Thursday morning.

According to the statement, the flight is expected to land at the airport at 5:00 am.

The statement added that the flight, operated by Air Peace, will depart the Oliver Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Wednesday night.

Recall that the Federal Government said it had concluded arrangements to repatriate willing citizens from South Africa.

The Nigerian government also said it was not happy with the South African government over the attacks.
