The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the 2027 general election will serve as a referendum on the reforms and bold leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Yilwatda made the declaration while delivering a strategic address at the Hope Ambassadors Summit held in Abuja, where he described the gathering as “a moment of strategic destiny” anchored on belief in Nigeria, belief in reform, and belief in the mission of President Tinubu and the APC.

Welcoming party leaders, governors, and Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the APC chairman stressed that the future of Nigeria must be deliberately organised rather than passively awaited.

He emphasised that governance must be complemented by effective communication, strong structure, and grassroots mobilisation to translate reforms into public trust, loyalty, and electoral victory in 2027.

“Good governance without communication is invisible. Communication without structure is noise. And politics without grassroots mobilisation is an organised defeat,” he stated.

Yilwatda explained that governance success and electoral victory are inseparable, noting that the summit was designed to strengthen communication around the Renewed Hope Agenda while laying the structural groundwork for what he described as a decisive and historic win in 2027.

According to him, while the opposition is banking on temporary discomfort from reforms to weaken the ruling party, the APC has chosen courage over convenience.

Under President Tinubu’s leadership, he said, the party has embraced bold economic reforms, restructuring, and long-term solutions instead of short-term populist measures.

“History does not reward hesitation; it rewards conviction. In 2027, Nigerians will not vote for noise; they will vote for results,” he asserted.

The APC chairman reaffirmed that the party is not a coalition of convenience but a disciplined movement built on ideological clarity.

He cautioned against contradictory narratives, internal sabotage, and uncoordinated messaging, warning that unity remains a strategic necessity.

He stressed the importance of cohesion across party structures, noting that when the President speaks, governors must echo; when governors deliver, ambassadors must amplify; and when the party takes a position, members must defend it.

Drawing a contrast with opposition parties, Yilwatda said while the APC focuses on reform and nation-building, its critics engage in speculation and negativity without offering credible alternatives.

He framed the 2027 election as a clear choice between populism and progress, confusion and Renewed Hope, expressing confidence that Nigerians would ultimately choose stability and reform.

Looking ahead, he described the 2027 poll as a referendum on reform, courage, and Nigeria’s long-term direction, insisting that victory would be inevitable if the party communicates effectively, mobilises strategically, and remains united.

He charged Progressive Governors to lead with performance and communicate with precision; Renewed Hope Ambassadors to carry the message to every community; and party leaders to guard unity jealously.

Yilwatda urged members to organise success deliberately rather than manage it casually, calling for structure over sentiment, clarity over confusion, unity over division, and victory over doubt.

He expressed confidence that when Nigerians return to the ballot in 2027, they will vote not merely for a party but for stability, courage, and the continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The summit, attended by party leaders and stakeholders from across the country, marked what he described as the beginning of a disciplined, data-driven, grassroots-powered movement aimed at securing both effective governance and sustained political dominance.
