….As Collation Is Underway In Ekeremor LGA.

Voting in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bayelsa West Senatorial primary has concluded peacefully in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State’s with collation of ward results now underway at the LGA headquarters.
Speaking to newsmen on Monday 18, May at the scene, the honourable Minister for petroleum resources Oil, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, said the exercise recorded a large turnout of APC members across the area, describing the process as orderly and peaceful.
“Voting has taken place peacefully. Results from the ward level are being collated at the LGA headquarters,” He stated.
According to Lokpobiri, collated results from the LGA will be moved to Sagbama, the senatorial/territorial headquarters, where they will be merged with Sagbama’s results.
The party’s candidate for the Senate will be announced after the final collation.
The Honourable Minister, noted that the community involved has a strong voting strength, which contributed to the high turnout of party members.
The APC had earlier directed that no election committee should conduct media briefings in their states of assignment, with all official announcements to be made in Abuja after results are submitted to the national headquarters.
The outcome of the collation in Sagbama will determine the APC’s flagbearer for Senate seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
