APC state Congress: Party re-elect Emeagha as Chairman, Others

Ebonyi State Chapter of the All Pogressives Congress (APC) yesterday re-elected Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha as Chairman of the party.
The party in it’s state Congress also re-elected Hon. Chinedu Alphonsus Nwali as State Deputy Chairman, and Chief Charles Chukwuma Ofoke as State Secretary of the party.
The three persons were re- elected alongside 33 other State Working committee members for another four years tenure.
The re-election which took place at PA Ngele Oruta Township Stadium in Abakaliki was at the event of the state party Congress exercise on yesterday.
The State Working Committee members were re-elected unopposed, through a consensus arrangement in line with the constitution of the party.
The consensus arrangement was adopted through a motion moved by the Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial district and Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi and Seconded by the Speaker Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Moses Ije Odunwa
Speaking at the event, the leader of the party and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Nwifuru, commended President Bola Tinubu for his leadership , which he opined has stabilised the party, and prepared it irrevocably for Victory ahead of 2027.
He also commended the leaders and stakeholders of the party in the state for their confidence in the State Working Committee under the leadership of Chief Emegha.
The Governor used the opportunity to thank lawmakers from Ebonyi State, both in the state and national Assembly, for their decision to join the ruling party, disclosing that all the state and national assembly members from Ebonyi State have joined the APC.
The State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, in his acceptance speech, on behalf of the 36 State Working Committee members, thanked the leader of the party in the state and Governor of the State, Chief Francis Nwifuru and critical stakeholders of the state for their confidence in the SWC members.
He promised to rally his colleagues to advance, project and protect the interests of the Governor, leaders and members of the party in the state.
Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee, and former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mrs. Rita Maduagwu, said the consensus arrangement complied with the constitution of the party and APC guidelines for the Congress.
However, in an interview, the incoming chairmanship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state in the forthcoming council polls, Comrade Paul Eze commended governor Nwifuru for ensuring a peaceful state Congress.
He said the governor has shown commitment and leadership quality since he assured office.
