The Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Chinadu Oga has paid the sum of Forty million, five hundred thousand naira being total cost of 2024,2025 West African Examination Council WAEC fees for one thousand five hundred indigent persons across the two council Areas that make up his Constituency.
This was contained in a receipt of payment and press release made available for Newsmen in Abakalik the Ebonyi state Capital by Oga’s media aide Charles Iteshi. The WAEC payment was one out of the many external exams fees he had promised indigent candidates of the area.
Recall that Oga had informed the people earlier this year that plans have been concluded to offset payments of WAEC, NECO and JAMB registration cost for the teaming Ebonyians who are ready to sit for their external exams and possibly advance their educational career.
Oga who is serving his second tenure in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly had since his emergence as the federal Lawmaker has ensured his people no longer go through difficulties to register for external exams in the recent past.
Charles Iteshi a stakeholder who spoke to Reporters thanked the Lawmaker for his relentless efforts at ensuring due processes are followed from the beginning of the program to the end of it, adding the Lawmaker was known for due process not minding his closeness or relationship with such a person.
Iteshi who is also a Media Aide to the lawmaker informed that the beneficiaries and families are already aware of the rare magnanimity of Chinedu Oga and have since been sending appreciation messages to the lawmaker.
He said Oga’s payment of fees for candidates seeking to write external exams in his Constituency has become an annual event and beneficiaries have also not taken it for granted as most of the candidates who sat for the previous exams are already undergraduates of various Higher institutions of learning both within and outside the State.
