The Federal University of Technology, Ilaro has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing research, innovation, and sustainable development as it hosted its Innovation and Project Exhibition, held alongside its 23rd Convocation and Award Ceremony.
The exhibition served as a vibrant platform showcasing cutting-edge projects developed by students, researchers, and innovators, reflecting the institution’s growing influence in driving technological advancement and practical solutions to real-world challenges.
In his welcome address, the Rector and Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. M. A. Akinde, expressed delight at the impressive display of ingenuity and intellectual capacity demonstrated by participants.
He described the exhibition as a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and the collective vision for a progressive future.
According to him, the projects on display—from advanced technological innovations to impactful community-driven solutions—underscore the institution’s dedication to excellence and relevance in addressing societal needs.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee and Director of Research, Engr. Dr. S. A. Odunlami, described the event as a strategic platform designed to nurture creativity, promote ingenuity, and encourage the practical application of knowledge.
