…Foundation to confer Award of Excellence on technocrat
The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF) has thrown its weight behind Otunba Dapo Okubadejo as a suitable running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, ahead of the 2027 election.
The endorsement was contained in a statement issued by the Foundation and signed by its Chairman, Jamiu Saka, who described Okubadejo as a seasoned professional with the competence and leadership capacity required to complement Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
IPEF noted that Okubadejo, who currently serves as Commissioner for Finance and Economic Adviser to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has distinguished himself through meritorious service and significant contributions to governance in the state.
According to the statement, his extensive background in economic management and strategic development positions him as a strong candidate capable of adding value to a joint ticket focused on delivering people-oriented governance.
“IPEF stands firmly on the pillars of professionalism, integrity, and excellence. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo has consistently exemplified these values in both public and private service,” the statement read.
It added that his emergence alongside Adeola on a joint ticket would not only strengthen governance but also inspire greater public confidence in leadership.
The Foundation further disclosed plans to confer a Premium Award of Excellence on Okubadejo in recognition of what it described as his outstanding contributions to public service and professional development.
IPEF said the award ceremony is expected to attract prominent personalities, professionals, and key stakeholders from across Ijebuland and beyond.
The group noted that the initiative aligns with its broader commitment to celebrating excellence and promoting impactful leadership within the region.
Reiterating its mission, Saka said the Foundation remains dedicated to advancing professionalism in Ijebuland and will continue to honour individuals who demonstrate exceptional service and integrity.
