Mama Pee detained at state CID in Edo state over faceoff with Abure at the airport

The police in the Edo state police command have detained Precious Oruche aka Mama Peace over her faceoff with Julius Abure, the factional chairman of Labour party.

Earlier today, Mama Pee spotted Abure at the airport and confronted him over the internal wranglings in the party. She accused him of destroying the party. Later, she released a video accusing him of sending thigs to attack her at the airport after she confronted him.

In an update given on X, Yunusa Tanko, the interim Chairman of Obidient Movement Worldwide, said Mama P has been detained at state CID @ Edo state police headquarters off sapele road Benin city.

Earlier, LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiorah Ifoh, in a statement on Saturday revealed that Mama P continued assaulting Abure throughout the flight, despite interventions by the cabin crew.

He added that Abure was escorted to safety, while the suspect was handed over to the police by security agents at Benin Airport.

The statement reads in part: “The attacker, Madam P, who is also a known content creator, continued the attack all through the flight, defying all attempts by the Max Air attendants to calm her.

“The assault, which attracted a large crowd, continued on disembarkation at the Benin Airport while she kept recording the scene.”
