The Iperu-Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board has commended Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein for what it described as her sustained investment in education and youth development in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.

In a letter signed by its Chairman, Prof. Adeleke Osho, the board expressed appreciation to Madein for sponsoring 50 Senior Secondary School students of Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu, for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC), National Examinations Council (NECO) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.

The board noted that the sponsorship had significantly reduced the financial burden on parents and guardians, while boosting the academic morale of the beneficiaries.

It described the intervention as a strategic contribution to human capital development, stressing that underwriting the cost of the examinations would expand access to higher education opportunities for the affected students.

Beyond the examination sponsorship, the board also acknowledged scholarship awards granted to 100 students drawn from Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Akesan Community Grammar School and Ajagbe High School, all in Iperu.

According to the board, the scholarship scheme represents a deliberate effort to promote sustainable educational advancement in the community.

The board further commended Madein for facilitating the establishment and donation of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre through the Olowo Oloye Foundation.

It stated that the ICT centre provides free computer literacy training aimed at equipping beneficiaries with digital skills necessary for academic excellence, entrepreneurship and employability in a technology-driven world.

Describing the facility as timely and impactful, the board said the initiative would help bridge the digital divide and improve technological inclusion among youths and adults in Iperu-Remo.

Prof. Osho noted that Madein’s interventions reflect a strong commitment to community development and educational empowerment.

He added that her contributions would have lasting effects on the lives of young people in the area, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Meanwhile, the board disclosed that about 40 participants have so far benefitted from the centre’s Free Adult Weekend Computer Appreciation Course sponsored by the foundation.

The trainees comprised four batches, including 30 young students and 10 adults.

According to the Vice Chairman of the board, Capt. Daniel Akintunde Banjo (Rtd.), in a statement signed by Temitope Oyekan
Consultant on Media to Dr. Madein said the student beneficiaries were drawn from Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu; Aladura Comprehensive College, Ogere; Federal Government Girls’ College, Sagamu; and Mayflower School, Ikenne, whose parents reside in Iperu.

Vice Chairman of the board explained that the adult participants were equally trained to enhance their digital literacy and improve their economic prospects.

The board expressed confidence that sustained private-sector support such as Madein’s would continue to complement government efforts in strengthening the education sector.

It also offered prayers for the continued growth of her foundation and urged other well-meaning indigenes to emulate the gesture in the interest of community development.
