In a statement released by Comrade Daniel-Morgan Ihomun, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Benue State, the party expressed gratitude to all its members who showed strong participation in the Ward Congresses that took place on February 18, 2026, across the 23 Local Government Areas.

Ihomun commended the enthusiastic supporters and stakeholders for their massive turnout, discipline, and unwavering dedication to the values of the party.

He highlighted the peaceful and lawful conduct observed during the process as a testament to the political maturity and unity within the ranks of APC in Benue State.

The reaffirmation of Ward Executives for another four-year tenure was seen as a vote of confidence by party faithful, and Ihomun urged the executives to uphold transparency, inclusivity, and commitment in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

He particularly expressed appreciation to Sen. George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and APC Leader in Benue State and the North Central Zone, for their exemplary leadership and guidance that has fostered stability and direction within the party.

With the successful Ward Congresses, the Benue State APC according to him is now more united, focused, and determined in its efforts to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in 2027.

He also applauded the 23 Local Government Party Chairmen, critical stakeholders, and supporters for their contributions to the smooth conduct of the exercise, reaffirming the party’s position as a dominant and organized force in Benue State.

The party had previously announced that the Ward Congresses would confirm existing Ward Executives across the 276 Council Wards in the State, with replacements only allowed in cases of death or resignation.

He expressed delight at the level the Local Government Party Chairmen and stakeholders collaborated with the Ward Congresses Committee to ensure a seamless process.

Comrade Ihomun encouraged members and supporters to participate fully in the subsequent Congresses, to be conducted at Local Government and State levels, to further strengthen the party’s unity and effectiveness.
