Stars Unite for “Healing”: Mobimpe TV and BellaNaija Champion HPV Awareness
Through Film

Lagos, Nigeria — The red carpet lit up at Banex Mall, Lagos, on October 24, 2025, as Mobimpe TV and BellaNaija premiered Healing, a moving film designed to raise awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer.

The event brought together actors, media professionals, advocates, and the public for an evening that blended entertainment, empathy, and education.

Healing tells the deeply emotional stories of women whose lives are touched by HPV and cervical cancer, offering a heartfelt exploration of their challenges, resilience, and hope.

The film serves as a reminder of the power of storytelling to drive social impact and spark meaningful dialogue.

The premiere attracted several prominent figures from the Nigerian entertainment scene,
including Abiola Adebayo, Omowunmi Dada, Lateef Adedimeji, Taiwo Adeyemi, and Omotomike Adewumi, who came out to lend their support to the project.

Host Kanyinsola Olukoya described Healing as “a mirror that reflects both the pain and the strength of women,” setting a reflective tone for the night.

Her words resonated with the
audience, who responded with emotion and applause after the screening.

Producer Adebimpe Oyebade Oladimeji (Mobimpe) shared her motivation for creating the film: “Healing is more than a movie — it’s a message. It represents the real struggles faced by women and families. I wanted to create something that not only entertains but also educates and empowers.”

She expressed gratitude to BellaNaija for partnering on the project through its #StopHPVforHer campaign, adding that the collaboration amplified the mission to inform women about HPV prevention and early detection.

In Nigeria, cervical cancer remains the second most common cancer among women aged 15–44, and the second leading cause of cancer deaths after breast cancer.

The event sparked important discussions about prevention through vaccination, regular screening, and community
education.

Since its launch on October 1, 2025, BellaNaija’s #StopHPVforHer campaign has reached over 800 million digital impressions across social platforms — a testament to the growing public
interest in health-driven storytelling.

Now streaming on YouTube, Healing has already garnered over 700,000 views and 1,000+
comments in just three days, showing that audiences are ready to engage with purposeful narratives that drive awareness and change.
