According to her, four dedicated non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Bayelsa State, including EduEreGirls Support Organisation, Do Foundation, Girls in Technology, and Lady Mary Girls Child Empowerment Initiative have launched an initiative aimed to empower and inspire girls to reach their full potential.

She noted that the NGOs have rolled out three major projects including girls in technology, farm-to-fame, and support for girls with special educational needs and disabilities designed to engage, motivate and inspire the girl child.

She further noted that highlight of the celebration is a visit to Umokoro Farms, which provides an opportunity for inclusive participation and empowerment for all the girls involved as well as encourages them to dream big and pursue their passions.

Ijeh-Tarila Jack emphasized that farming is an inclusive skill that can be adapted to various needs and abilities, noting that farming encompasses not just tilling the soil but also production, processing, and packaging, citing examples such as peanut and plantain chip production.

The EduEreGirls founder encouraged girls to venture into farming, highlighting its potential for growth and empowerment, stressing that starting small can lead to valuable learning experiences and experimental opportunities, ultimately building confidence in their abilities.
