The advance screening performance of Ori: Rebirth mirrors the impact of its predecessor, Ori, which was released in 2003 and became a Yoruba-language classic.

The new installment continues the legacy, delving deeper into themes of destiny, culture and redemption.

Released on April 26, Ori: Rebirth stars Muyiwa Ademola in the lead role alongside star-studded appearances from Toyin Abraham, Lateef Adedimeji, Sola Sobowale, Yinka Quadri and Ibrahim Chatta.

The film follows a man who embarks on a spiritual journey to rediscover his purpose after a series of personal and societal challenges threaten to consume him.

Ori: Rebirth is currently showing in cinemas nationwide.
