Ogun Assembly Speaker Elemide Felicitates Christians at Easter
As Christians in Ogun State join their counterparts from all over the World to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Daisi Elemide has enjoined all Christians to see the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a time to show love, dedication urging them to reflect on the deeper meaning of the season while staying hopeful amid the current economic challenges facing the country.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide Kunle Idowu, Rt Hon. Elemide urged all Christians to see the season as one to be thankful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary bearing the sins of the world to save mankind.
“I extend heartfelt felicitations to our Christian brothers and sisters as we joyfully commemorate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
He encouraged Ogun residents to embrace the powerful message of Easter, particularly its message of hope and renewal.
The Speaker called on everyone to show love to all, irrespective of religion, class or Creed especially the less privileged who are in need
“As we celebrate Easter, let us take time to reflect on the many lessons of the season, including the power of hope in the bleakest times and the joy of renewal.”
Since Easter sparks in us the resilience of human spirit, I urge you to remain dogged and prayerful in the face of current challenges
