Ebonyi Reps member approves NECO registration fees of 1000 Constituents, awards scholarship to 200 indigents students

The Chairman, House of Representative committee on Reformatory institutions and Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah has approved the payment of NECO fees for 1,000 prospective candidates from Ikwo and Ezza South Local Government Areas.
Ogah also announced a scholarship program for two hundred indigent students from the constituents from JSS1to SS3 said the initiative was in line with the educational policy thrust of the present administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru in the state.
This was contained in a press release issued and made available to Newsmen in Abakaliki the Ebonyi state Capital by the committee Chairman Rev. Fr. Henry Ogodo,
Recall that the Lawmaker had informed constituents on January that he would offset WAEC, JAMB and NECO registration fees for one thousand prospective candidates for 2024/2025 for each of the exams.
The press release reads in parts:
“In support of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s education initiative, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions, and Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON, has graciously approved the payment of NECO fees for 1,000 prospective candidates from Ikwo and Ezza South Local Government Areas”
“Furthermore, 200 indigent students from JSS1 to SS3 have been awarded scholarships, empowering them to pursue their educational goals”
“Consequently, the prospective NECO Candidates are advised to visit Chinedu Ogah’s Foundation Office by (Chiboy Motors), 153 Afikpo/Baracks Road, Abakaliki, opposite Ebonyi State New Housing Estate with their Local Government Identification Letter for registration and data capturing’
“Note, registration will last from Monday, April 7th, 2025, to Monday, April 21st, 2025”
“We congratulate the beneficiaries of this initiative and wish them success in their academic pursuits”
