The Head of Orolotimoyewa Ruling House in Ora-Igbomina,Olomoofe Adedayo Adebowale has appealed to Osun State Governor,Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and his elder sister,Yeyeluwa Modupe Adeleke-Sanni, to accept the choice of the Ruling House for the Stool of Asaooni of Ora-Igbomina,Ifedayo Local Government area of Osun State.
The 90 to 92 years old head of the next ruling House(Orolotimoyewa) to produce the candidate to fill the vacant stool of Asaaoni has also appealed to Governor Adeleke’s elder brother,Dr. Adedeji Adeleke,Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi,Timi of Edeland,Oba (Dr.) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal and former Vice- President Atiku Abubakar to help the Ruling House by prevailing on Governor (Asiwaju) Adeleke to consider their unanimous decision by approving the ruling house candidate for the stool.
Oloomofe Adebowale who was speaking with Journalists on Monday, through the Ruling House spokesperson,Prince (Dabar) Adeagbo Adedayo,stated that this appeal has become imperative at the moment following the action of the certain officials of the State who were directing the Ifedayo Local Government officials to go against the official letter dated 10th September,2004 received from the same local government directing the ruling House through its head to nominate the suitable candidate for the stool.
Prince Adedayo disclosed that the body language of the certain officials towards the ruling house was that they would not accept the suitable candidate from the ruling house as being requested but from the impersonating set of people who were still currently facing the criminal investigation of impersonating the head of the ruling house from the security agents.
According to the ruling house;” It is still like a mirage to us as a ruling house that a notable political office holder would want to impose a questionable character on the ruling house as a candidate for Asaooni Stool because we do not have money to throw at him,so he has turned the stool of Asaooni to the stool of highest bidder for his personal pocket.
“This is the reason why, Orolotimoyewa ruling house the candidate they are trying to impose on the Asaaoni Stool through fiat. Once they know that they are not getting the backing of the ruling house,they came up with the fraudulent act of impersonation by claiming that the Head of the ruling house, Olomoofe Adebowale had died with the support of Local Government officials by accepting kangaroo letter from the impersonators and as well trying to implement the contents.
“The ruling house screened the three candidates that obtained the Expression of Interest Forms and we discovered a lot of discrepancies on the documents presented to the family by Abikoye Johnson Adekanmi Alani and it was also alleged of being rusticated from Olabisi Onabanjo University,Ago-Iwoye, Ogun Statein 2013 at 400 level of studying Political Science in the institution.
The ruling house has called on Abikoye Johnson Adekanmi Alani to bring out the certificate of Bachelor of Science in Political Science obtained from Olabisi Onabanjo University in order to douse the tension of being rusticated from the higher school of learning and the same would be confirmed from the said University.
“We are using this medium again to appeal to Osun State Governor, Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke to prevail on his Commissioner in-charge of Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Dosu Babatunde to allow the suitable candidate from Orolotimoyewa Ruling House,Ora-Igbomina to occupy the stool of Asaooni in the interest of justice and peace in the ancient town by not jetitioning public interest over personal interest.
