Traditional ruler, Community Development Association and other stakeholders have thrown their support for the aspiration of Dr Folasade Adeyemo in her bid to return as the Chairman of Odeda Local Government for the second term.
The Olu of Odeda, Oba David Ishola Olorunnishola, Odeda Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Iyasere and other stakeholders have at different occasions endorsed Dr Folasade Adeyemo second term ambition as Chairman Odeda Local government saying that her nomination as All Progressives Congress (APC ) flag bearer and subsequent election as Chairman of Odeda Local Government would continue to turnaround the fortune of the council area with innovative and ingenious socio-economic programmes.
Speaking further, Oba Olorunnishola, said “I proudly endorse Folasade Adeyemo as the best aspirant for the chairmanship of Odeda Local Government.
“As the first female executive chairman, she has demonstrated unparalleled leadership, vision, and commitment to the development of our communities. Her dedication is evident through her various projects, which highlights her focus on sustainable development and community empowerment. She is also available and accessible,open to constructive criticism.
Also speaking, the Odeda Local Government Area Development Council Chairman, Emmanuel Iyasere said “Folasade Adeyemo has not only fulfilled her promises but has also gone above and beyond to ensure that every ward in Odeda Local Government thrives under her leadership.
“Her passion for service, combined with her ability to deliver results, makes her the ideal choice to continue leading us into a brighter, more prosperous future. We are confident that re-electing her will guarantee continued progress and positive transformation for all.
“We fully endorse Folasade Adeyemo as the best aspirant for this position.
Also a Youth organisation, ‘Youth Development Agenda, (YDA) while speaking on the reasons the group is backing Hon. Adeyemo said “Our organisation is an amalgamation of various youth groups in this council area. We decided to back the aspiration of Dr. Folasade Adeyemo because of her pedigree in public service and vision for the development of Odeda local government. Many of us can attest to her outstanding managerial prowess when she was there in her first term, hence, we decided to throw our weight behind her and we are using this forum to encourage people to support her too.”
Also at different fora, Shakirudeen Adekunle, the Chairman of Odeda Local Government National Union Of Local Government Employees agreed that the immediate past Chairman of the local government deserves another term because of her unparallel achievement during the first term.
Also Comrade Ajani Mufutau, the Chairman, National Youth Council (NYCN), Odeda Local Government, assured of the youths support to Hon. Folasade Adeyemo.
In her remarks, Dr Folasade Adeyemo noted that the council area has the right atmosphere for economic growth and relative resources for uncommon transformation, if properly managed by a leader with ‘inner eyes’, a foundation that was laid during her first term.
“If given the mandate again, as the chairman of Odeda local government, I will not disappoint the people. Our council area has all it takes to attain excellence in terms of economic growth and enviable transformation; we have the right atmosphere for all these to happen and I shall strive to take the council area to a height it has never attained before.”
