An herbalist identified simply as Ezekiel has been arrested with 11 different human bones in Anambra State.
The suspect, who hails from Ezza in Ebonyi State was arrested over the weekend by security operatives in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, where he resides.
The security operatives raided the residence of the suspect following a tip-off by whistleblowers on the suspicious activities they observed there.
During interrogation by the security operatives, the suspect confirmed that the bones were human and he used them to prepare different kinds of ‘high-quality charms’ for people.
He claimed that they were brought to him by a relative from the part of Ebonyi State where there are ongoing communal clashes.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the arrest on Monday, July 29, 2024.
“The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Further details on that will be communicated,” the PPRO added.
