The State Secretary for Benue State Emergency Management Agency BSEMA James Iorpuu on Wednesday distributed various relief materials for Internally Displaced Persons living in newly created Camps the items included 2000,000 bags of rice , 950,000 bags of beans other included, 1140 of Garr, 2210 cartoons of endomie. as well as others.

The BSEMA boss speaking during the distribution in Makurdi on Wednesday said that he was asked by his boss Governor Hyacinth Alia to include the new Camps in Kwande, Ukum, Guma as well as Agatu.

While answering questions from Newsmen whether the palliatives is  from federal government, he said that the entire food stuff at the instance of Easter for Displaced Persons by the Governor Alia.

The BSEMA Secretary further directed to visit Apande in Kwande to access the spate of damage where in recent times Fulani herdsmen wreck havoc visited mayhem killings over 30 inhabitants.

According to him, efforts must be geared towards ensuring detailed information data in the affected communities for onward submissions to the state Government.

It could be recalled the community is oil rich settlement arre mainly deals in oil exploration such as palm oil and other minerals deposited there in abundance quantities people have since deserted as result herdsmen attacks “
