By-Elections: Prof. Anthony Okorie Ani Wins APC Ticket For Ebonyi South Senatorial Election

Prof. Okorie Anthony Ani has emerged as the winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) senatorial primary election, coming on February 3, 2024
Prof Anthony Okorie Ani is a professor of Agriculture at the federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) in Imo State
Prof. Ani primary election was held on Saturday at Afikpo North Local Government Council Headquarters
According to Chairman of electoral panel, Akin Akinsehinwa who announced the results that Prof. Ani scored
281 votes out of the 285 votes of the delegates while 4 votes invalid
Chairman of electoral panel also noted that Mrs Ann Agom Eze is one of the aspirants who indicated interest after purchasing form but failed to return it for screening
While Speaking to Newsmen, after declaration of his victory, Prof. Ani said , he feel so great and happy, and his victory is like a dream to him, he never know, it will be this way. he therefore assured his 100% confidence with All Progressive Congress, (APC) and promise, he will succeed and humility his hallmarks, while he assured to carry everyone along
APC State Party Chairman Hon Stanley Okoro Emeghe, while speaking to Newsmen, he said that All Progressive Congress (APC) understand the heart beat of masses and that’s reason they selected Prof Ani who also hear the heart beat of commoners , ” We selected him because we know he understands the heart beat of masses and we have track his records, we have seen what he has done in his communities and we decided to choose him”
“It’s a collective decisions and his people said we should go with him, we did a critical analysis of all of them and decided to select him and we want to balances the power in order to meet the need of masses” APC Chairman said.
