Four students of Nasarawa State University who were kidnapped on Monday night have regained their freedom.

Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 level) and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100 level) were abducted from their off-campus residence near Angwan Kare after BCGat at about 10:30 pm.

It was learnt that the students have been released and are currently at 177 Guards Battalion Headquarters in Keffi.

Muhammed Sakilu Muhammed, Secretary General of the Nasarawa State Youths Forum for Advocacy, in a statement made available to DAILY POST, confirmed the release of the student.

He said: “We are pleased to inform you that the four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), who were kidnapped have been reportedly released today. This development follows the payment of an undisclosed ransom.”
