Barely few days to the general election and with the final determination of pre election matters by the courts, a popular politician, Hon. Kehinde Odeneye has attributed his political misfortunes at the just concluded Party primary to the various crisis rocking his family.

Kehinde Odeneye who intends to represent his people at the Ogun state House of Assembly under the platform of All Progressives Congress was defeated by his rival at the Party primary held on Saturday 26th of March, 2022, based on what the electorates termed as the sacrilege committed by a member of the family and cousin to Odeneye, Mr Kehinde Olakunle Peter.

Apart from losing the primary, it was also gathered that efforts by Kehinde Odeneye to seek redress from the court to claim his mandate was thrown away by the court few days ago

Speaking to Our Correspondent, Hon Kehinde Odeneye said his political career may be heading towards the rock because of the singular acts of his cousin, Olakunle Peter Kehinde who out of his selfish interest put the whole family into disrepute.

“If you recall, this same Kehinde Olakunle Peter was responsible while we lost the Obaship tussle to another family because he refused to release his son to go through the family ritual when the oracle chose his son as the incarnates of the late Chief.

He shielded his son and family from a mere ritual, which resulted into the family losing the throne to another willing family.

Also, you will remember that the same Kehinde Olakunle was caught in immoral act with another man, he is now on the run.

So all these atrocities are what the people are visiting on my political career, it rub on my children, the whole family.

“When you asked me whether I can forgive him, there is no way I can forgive, he will need to answer to his atrocities whenever we see face to face. He will need to tell us why he decided to be so selfish, that the whole family is now paying for his crime.

Speaking further, Hon. Kehinde Odeneye said apart from Police that had declared him wanted , the town and the family are also not pleased with his actions, so we can’t consider him as part of us

“I know he can not run forever, one day we shall see face to face, then, the whole issue will be settled.
