Five persons have been arrested by operatives of the Ondo State Police Command for stripping a man, Femi Ajayi, naked after accusations that he allegedly had an illicit affair with a married woman in Irun-Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the 24-year-old victim was attacked in the town after some members of a group he belonged to accused him of sexual intimacy with a member’s wife.

The suspects numbering 15, were said to have waylaid Ajayi at the community’s marketplace before beating him to a pulp and stripping off his clothes.

During the attack on the victim, the suspects recorded the incident, which they posted on social media.

With the incident going viral, some human rights activists intervened and insisted that the suspects must be arrested and tried for jungle justice.

Following the intervention of the rights activists, five of the suspects were identified as Banji Alade. Gboyega Ariyo, Olumide Johnson, Femi Isobo and Ahmed Ikire were arrested.
