Suspects arrested as Tiwa Savage confirms security breach at her home
Tiwa Savage, the singer, has confirmed the rumour of a security breach at her Lagos residence.
On Friday morning, the internet was inundated with reports claiming the singer escaped a kidnap attempt.
The report alleged that the mastermind of the kidnap was her domestic staff.
In a statement released, Tiwa’s management said some persons attempted to break into the residence of the songstress.
The statement said the incident occurred on Thursday. It added that a number of suspects have been apprehended and are being investigated at the Alagbon police station in Ikoyi.
The statement said the megastar and her family are “safe and well.”
“Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April 2023 there was a major security breach at the residence of musician Tiwa Savage,” the statement reads.
“A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon police station, Ikoyi.
“Ms Savage and her family are safe and well.”
The statement, however, didn’t state the intention of the alleged culprits, if they were there to rob or kidnap the singer.
Tiwa Savage has established herself as one of the prominent faces in the Nigerian music landscape.
