The Ogun State Chairman of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), Moshood Adesina, has intensified efforts to expand the party’s grassroots base by welcoming new members and extending an open invitation to politicians who feel sidelined in their former political parties.

Adesina made the call during a stakeholders’ engagement and membership drive held in Ogun State, where he assured prospective members that the DLA remained committed to fairness, inclusiveness and internal democracy.

He said the political atmosphere in the country had left many credible politicians frustrated and politically displaced, adding that the DLA was prepared to provide a fresh platform for genuine democratic participation.

According to him, the alliance was determined to build a political structure that would accommodate people from different backgrounds without discrimination or favoritism.

The DLA chairman stated that many Nigerians had lost confidence in the existing political order because of what he described as injustice, imposition of candidates and lack of transparency in some political parties.

He stressed that the DLA would continue to uphold accountability, equity and people-oriented leadership as its core values.

Adesina urged politicians who had been denied opportunities in their former parties to join hands with the DLA in building a stronger and more credible alternative political movement.

He noted that the party’s leadership in Ogun State was already engaging youths, women and community leaders across the state to strengthen its grassroots support ahead of future political activities.

The chairman maintained that the DLA was not merely interested in increasing its membership strength, but also in attracting individuals with integrity and a passion for service.

He assured new members that the party would provide equal opportunities for all aspirants and stakeholders regardless of their social or political status.

Adesina said the era of political exclusion and manipulation must come to an end, insisting that democracy could only thrive where justice and fairness prevailed.

He added that the DLA was positioning itself as a credible force capable of transforming governance and restoring public confidence in leadership.

Speaking further, he encouraged members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the party despite the challenges confronting the nation’s political system.

The Ogun DLA chairman also appealed to citizens to participate actively in the democratic process by supporting leaders with vision and integrity.

Party leaders at the meeting reiterated their commitment to building a formidable political structure capable of competing effectively in Ogun State and beyond.
