The Ogun State Government has approved the appointment of Basorun Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo as the new Odemo of Isara Remo in Remo North Local Government Area.
The approval, granted by Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday, followed confirmation by the State Executive Council and is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce traditional institutions and deepen grassroots governance across the state.
Ogunbayo, a prominent indigene of Isara Remo from the Otete Ruling House, was born on April 23, 1970, and is widely regarded as a seasoned businessman and respected community leader with strong ties to the town.
He had his early education at Army Children Primary School and Muslim High School, Sagamu, before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained a Diploma in Estate Management. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Jos.
He began his professional career with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in Lagos before venturing into private enterprise. Over the years, he has established a strong presence in real estate, consultancy, and industrial development.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMBA Properties Limited and other affiliated firms, Ogunbayo has played a key role in facilitating the establishment of several industries within Ogun State, particularly along the Sagamu industrial axis, thereby contributing to economic growth and job creation.
A respected traditional titleholder and philanthropist, he holds the titles of Basorun of Isara Remo and Babalaje of Remo Land, among others.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and has been actively involved in advisory roles within community and faith-based development initiatives.
His appointment it was gathered, was expected to strengthen traditional leadership, foster peace and unity, and accelerate development in Isara Remo and its surrounding communities.
