Ngozi Orabueze, a loyalist of jailed separatist leader Simon Ekpa, has warned the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and Senator Ned Nwoko concerning the proposed creation of Anioma State.

The proposal for the creation of Anioma State from Delta State received a boost from Akpabio, while speaking during the South-South Zonal Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Asaba, Delta State.

According to him, the state proposed by Senator Nwoko will have Asaba as its capital.

“Anioma state will be created, with Asaba as its capital. The Senate fully supports the initiative spearheaded by Senator Ned Nwoko,” he said.

“This step will usher in a new era of development and shared prosperity for all constituent communities.

“With Asaba as Anioma state capital, Warri will be the capital of the new Delta.”

Reacting, Orabueze, who described herself as the Deputy Prime Minister/Chief of Staff of the United States of Biafra, warned Akpabio and others against including Anioma in Nigeria.

According to Orabueze, Anioma is part of Biafra Republic, a defunct country which her group is trying to resurrect.

She wrote on X, “The United States of Biafra People and Government hereby informs Nigeria agents Godswill Akpabio and Ned Nwoko that the State of Anioma, with capital in Asaba, is part of the 40 States of Biafra that were declared in Lahti, Finland on November 29th 2024 (watch the video).

“Any attempt to include the state in the Nigeria state or terrorist APC party project will be resisted.
