Troops of 22 Brigade, Sector 1 Operation Safe South-South, OPSS, have conducted clearance operations in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, destroying suspected terrorist makeshift camps and recovering weapons.
This was made known in a post on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert in the Lake Chad region.

Makama said the operation commenced at about 6:00 a.m. on April 24, when troops departed their harbour area at Kamenji and advanced towards Tungan Mariga.

According to him, the troops thereafter proceeded to Woro village, where the commanding officer addressed personnel and assessed the ongoing operation.
