The latest incident, which occurred in Hong main town, is the second in Hong LGA in one week, following an earlier flood on August 6 in Dugwaba district.

Multiple sources indicated on Wednesday evening that the flood submerged homes, farmlands, and other valuable assets around Hong, one of Adamawa’s most prominent towns.

The sources said the flood was triggered by a downpour that caused rivers and gutters to overflow.

They added that several communities were affected, forcing hundreds of residents out of their homes and away from their businesses.

However, no deaths from the flood had been reported as of press time on Wednesday evening.
