Speaker , Ogun House of Assembly, Rt Hon Daisi Elemide today joined millions of Nigerians and the international communities to mourn the death of former President Muhammad Buhari who passed on at the age of 82.
Rt. Hon Elemide acknowledged the contributions of the late Ex President in transforming the Country and upholding the tenets of fairness, justice and discipline.
He recalled his introduction of the War Against Indiscipline, the fight against Corruption and his simplest ways of life while he was alive .
Elemide affirmed that the successful fight against terrorism in the North East and the war against bandits, saying that the late Muhammadu Buhari lived a fulfilled life, served Nigeria energetically as a military man, and also dedicated his life in various capacities before he finally became the civilian President of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023”.
“A man of principle and commitment, he embodied the virtues of labour. He was accommodating but firm and decisive.”
I join the Government and the people of Nigeria as well as millions of others around the world in mourning a man, who, in his very eventful political life, did much to shape the political tapestry of the Country.
