One of the domestic workers of Aribemchukwu, the late daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has reportedly admitted killing her.

Aribemchukwu’s body was discovered on Wednesday morning outside the gate of the family’s residence at Parkview Estate, Ikoyi Lagos.

A housemaid, security guard, and a driver were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.

The police believe Aribemchukwu was killed in her bedroom, dragged out of the house and her body dumped at the gate to make it appear as though she was killed outside.

A police source who spoke with PUNCH on Friday on the condition of anonymity said the housemaid admitted killing her boss.

According to the source, the suspects cleaned up the blood stains but missed some spots because it happened at night.

“The house help did not deny what happened. She said, ‘We do am, na we do am’, during an interrogation and everything she said tallied with the evidence on the ground.” the police source said.

It was also gathered from the source that the suspects packed Aribemchukwu’s valuables after the incident.

All three domestic workers were employed at the same time a week before the incident, said the source.

The deceased, a medical doctor, recently got married.
