The state prosecutor Miriro Matavo, said the incident occurred on March 27 when Gabilo approached Moyo at the intersection of Nelson Mandela and 5th Street around 8 pm, seeking sexual services.

Matova informed the court that Moyo initially received US$10 as payment for her services but later demanded an additional US$50, leading to a dispute. Allegedly, Moyo seized Gabilo’s laptop and cellphone until her demands were met.

Subsequently, Bandare and an unidentified accomplice barged into the room, forcibly taking Gabilo’s belongings, including his wallet containing US$50. After retrieving his possessions, Gabilo reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of Moyo and Bandare the following day.

Harare magistrate Simon Kandiyero remanded them in custody until May 2.
