Member Representing, Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon Chinedu Ogah onTuesday, offset the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC of 507 students and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Fees of 500 students both from public and private schools in the federal Constituency

Ogah also disbursed hundred thousand naira, N100, 000 to 16 Law school students from his Constituency as a support to compliment the effort of the Ebonyi State Governor Nwifuru’s led administration towards Education sector in the State

” Our Governor Nwifuru have giving all the law school students N300,000 , and I want to support the Governor programme with 100,000 each to my Constituency”

According to Ogah, he disclosed that his foundation has been paying students WAEC fees since 15 years ago, added ” my foundation have been given cash direct to students to register WAEC registration but we notice many are abusing the purpose of the WAEC fees given to them and this year we decided to be paying it directly to WAEC schools account for the benefits of the students ”

” And we are going to give out N40,000 to public school principal and N30,000 to private schools principal for transportation and IGR , the reasons, we don’t want the schools principal to sub-charge or collect any other money from the students”

Ogah made this known when he flag -off the programme of WAEC and Jamb payment fees to his federal Constituency at Ikwo High School, Agubia Ikwo, LGA, Ebonyi State

In their separate remarks Gloria Mgbike, the Branch Controller, WAEC, Mrs Doris Enock, State Coordinator JAMB, the chairman of Secondary Education Board Mrs Lilian Nwankwo, they Commended Rep. Member Hon. Chinedu Ogah for his gesture towards the school students, while noting that Education is the key success and best thing to do for any child.
Added that the program is also one of the thing that touches life of the children and urged the students to take their study serious and pass all their WACE and other exams

The Commissioner for primary and secondary Education Prof. Paul Nwobashi, represented by Governor Francis Nwifuru appreciated Hon. Ogah for assisting to support children education to prepare for their exams.

According to Nwabashi ” The foundation of Hon. Chinedu Ogah has allievate burden of the parents towards payment of WACE fees” .

Nwabashi , therefore charged the beneficiaries students to avoid engaging into exam malpractice, adding it’s good you fail Honourably than engaging examination malpractice”.
