Insecurity: Benue Moves To Restore Peace To Crisis Areas

Efforts to eradicate crimeswaves in Benue State are yielding result as Security strategist and liason Expert, rtd Col Alexander Anshungu revealed.
The retired military topbrass disclosed that conscious efforts are been intensified to ensure total elimination of men of the underworld as well as kidnappers, including terrorists are flush out of the state.
Col Anshungu who bared his mind in an interview with Salient Times on Monday in Makurdi, Benue State capital city, disclosed that Governor Fr Hyacinth Alia is making frantic efforts to ensure anyone sleeps with two eyes close.
Reiterating reasons why he was engaged by the government, he said that he was brought in to make sure all is well as we have put in dragnet across three senatorial Districts in the State, asking for cooperation to avail us relevant information on criminal hideout where we can explore measures towards total elimination of terrorists in the affected communities.
He further explained the determination of present dispensation to ensure kidnapping, banditry and other forms of criminal elements relocated for peaceful co,existence amongst others.
The top brass soldier said, “it is the desire of His Excellency Governor Hyacinth Alia his people are living in harmony with their neighbours and go about doing their legitimate means of livelihood
“Thereafter he will not rest on my oars until the purposes is achieved for peace and tranquility in the State “.
He emphasised the need for relevant stakeholders to volunteer credible clues resulting to nipping in bud of criminal elements in the State.
It could be recalled the present dispensation succeeded in curtailing insecurity in the State..
