The Management of Hillside University of Science and Technology(HUST), Okemesi, Ekiti State has announced the commencement of admission for the 2023/2024 academic session into 30 different programmes.

This followed approval of the National Universities Commission(NUC), after its resource verification inspection team had a final look at facilities in the institution.

The approved programmes, according to the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof Iheanyichukwu Okoro, spread across four Colleges of Health and Medical Sciences; Engineering and Computing Sciences; Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences as well as Business, Law and Educational Sciences.

The programmes under the College of Health and Medical Sciences include Anatomy, Audiology, Dentistry, Medicine and Surgery, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics, Optometry, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Physiology.

The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences programmes are Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Data Science and Software Engineering.

Others are Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing and Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security.

The Vice-Chancellor further listed Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Management and Toxicology, Petroleum Chemistry and Forensic Science as part of courses undertaken in the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences.

According to Prof. Okoro, the College of Business, Law and Educational Sciences has Accounting, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Economics, and Mass Communication.

The Vice Chancellor noted that the institution which is a first-in-class entrepreneurial University is purpose-built on a sustainability-driven, industry-inspired curriculum and operating structure to bridge an insatiable gaping deficit of a famished Nigerian mega healthcare service professionals and technology consumer market.
