The Ogun State chapter of Labour Party has warned the embattled caretaker committee led by Engr. Lukman Jagun to stop parading self as the executive in the state saying that the Party will not hesitate to use all legal means to enforce the resolution reached at the NEC meeting of the Party recently held in Bauchi .

Addressing the Press in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Chairman of the Party, Comrade Michael Ashade said the Party is been reposition in line with the current realities on ground.

While unveiling new additions to the Executive, Comrade Ashade said the Executives led by Comrade Michael Ashade is the only authentic leadership coordinating the state of affairs in the Labour Party Ogun State.

He affirmed the expulsion of Kehinde Sogunle, the gubernatorial aspirant of the Party in the State and others based on the NEC resolution.

He said following the suspension of Barr. Julius Abure as the National Chairman of Labour Party and three others and the reversal of the creation of the illegally constituted caretaker committee led by Engr. Lukman Jagun, by the National Working
Committee led by Alhaji Lamidi Bashiru Apapa, it becomes imperative to let the good citizens of Ogun State be aware of the leadership in place for the Labour Party.

“The Executives led by Comrade Michael Ashade is the only authentic leadership coordinating the state of affairs in the Labour Party Ogun State.

“For emphasis, the following are the members of the Ogun State Labour Party
Executives:

2. Engr. Segun Feyisola State Secretary
3. Mrs. Catherine Y. Oguntola Dep. State Chairman 1 West

He said, “with the resolution passed at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at Bauchi, upholding the expulsion of Kehinde Sogunle and the caretaker committee members, we the State Executives declare that no one should parade themselves as executives in the state other than the one led by Comrade Michael Ashade.

He then call “on the Commissioner of Police of Ogun State, the
Director of State Securities (DSS) Ogun State Command to arrest anyone falsely
parading themselves as the state executives.

“We wish to allay the fears of all regarding the Party in Ogun state that the stability
of the Party is not in jeopardy, but reinforced and repositioned to take over.

“The restructuring of the party will cut across the State, LGAs and Wards.
Very shortly, standing committees will be constituted for administrative effectiveness and repositioning of the party.

“We use this medium to appreciate and recognize the efforts of Comrade Dr.
Arabambi Abayomi, the National Publicity Secretary in stabilizing this party and
pushing it forward.
