The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Daisi Elemide, has joined hundreds of thousands Nigerians to congratulate the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, on the occasion of his 66th birthday celebration which comes up today.
Rt. Hon. Elemide described the Governor as an exceptional leader, visionary administrator, and committed statesman whose dedication to the growth and development of Ogun State has continued to yield remarkable results across all sectors of the economy.
The Speaker in a statement made available to Newsmen by his Media Aide, Kunle Idowu, noted that Governor Abiodun’s purposeful leadership has transformed the state’s infrastructure landscape, enhanced economic opportunities, and strengthened governance through people-oriented policies and programmes.
According to him, the Governor’s unwavering commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy has endeared him to the people of Ogun State and earned him recognition beyond the state’s boundaries.
Rt. Hon. Elemide stated that the Governor’s inclusive style of leadership has fostered unity, peace, and harmonious relationships among the various segments of society, creating an enabling environment for sustainable development.
He commended Prince Abiodun’s determination to position Ogun State as the industrial and economic hub of Nigeria through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and technology.
The Speaker further praised the Governor for maintaining a cordial working relationship with the legislative arm of government, a development that has strengthened democratic governance and accelerated the implementation of developmental initiatives in the state.
He observed that the Governor Dapo Abiodun administration’s numerous achievements in road construction, urban renewal, social welfare, youth empowerment, and job creation stand as enduring testimonies to the Governor’s commitment to public service.
Rt. Hon. Elemide remarked that Governor Abiodun has consistently demonstrated courage, wisdom, and resilience in addressing the challenges confronting the state while remaining focused on the aspirations and welfare of the people.
The Speaker acknowledged the Governor’s role in attracting local and foreign investments to Ogun State, thereby boosting economic growth and creating opportunities for businesses and residents alike.
According to the Speaker, Prince Abiodun’s passion for excellence, accountability, and transparency in governance has continued to inspire confidence among citizens and development partners.
Rt. Hon. Elemide expressed appreciation to God for granting the Governor good health, strength, and wisdom to continue steering the affairs of Ogun State with distinction and dedication.
