Lisabi has again emerged winner of the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) category at the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards held at Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday night.
The acclaimed movie, produced by actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade, secured the prestigious award for the second consecutive year, further cementing its dominance in the indigenous language film category.
Speaking while receiving the award, an emotional Adedimeji dedicated the honour to his wife, popularly known as Mobimpe, who recently gave birth to triplets after five years of marriage.
“This award is dedicated to the woman who made me chase my dream. The woman who gave me my three kings,” he said during his acceptance speech.
The victory marks another milestone for the movie franchise, which first gained widespread recognition with Lisabi: A Legend Is Born, winner of the same category at the 2025 AMVCA.
The annual AMVCA ceremony celebrates outstanding achievements in African film and television, attracting top entertainers, filmmakers and industry stakeholders from across the continent.
