…Urges Inclusive Governance, Highlights Key Infrastructure Needs in Obafemi
The Egba-Obafemi Prestige Country Club (EOPCC), a socio-cultural association of distinguished sons and daughters of Obafemi in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, has formally endorsed the nomination of Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, CON, FCA, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flag bearer for Ogun State in the 2027 general election.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Club, the group described the nomination as well-deserved, noting that it reflects the widespread acceptance, credibility, and goodwill the lawmaker enjoys across political and non-political divides in the state.
According to the association, Senator Adeola’s emergence is a testament to a leadership profile built on competence, commitment, accessibility, and a consistent passion for public service.
The group emphasized that his track record in governance has inspired confidence among diverse communities and stakeholders.
“His broad acceptance across different strata of society underscores the trust reposed in his ability to deliver purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership,” the statement read.
The Club further expressed optimism that, if elected in 2027, Adeola’s administration would prioritize fairness, inclusion, and sustainable development, particularly by integrating previously neglected and underrepresented communities into the mainstream of governance.
While pledging its full support, the association also drew attention to critical infrastructure challenges within the Obafemi axis, especially the deplorable condition of the road leading to the ancient town, which hosts key institutions such as Ogun State Radio and Television Studios, the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, and McPherson University.
The group expressed confidence that, given the senator’s history of impactful interventions even before assuming executive office, such concerns would receive urgent attention under his leadership.
Reaffirming its commitment to the unity and progress of Ogun State, the EOPCC maintained that Senator Adeola possesses the experience, exposure, and broad-based appeal required to lead the state to greater heights.
The association concluded by congratulating the APC flag bearer and wishing him wisdom, strength, and success in the journey ahead.
