Security sources told Makama that the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. on April 4, 2026, when a disagreement between the traders turned violent, leading to the death of one of those involved.

Troops from the Forward Operating Base in Malumfashi were later deployed to the area to restore calm and prevent further breakdown of law and order.

Their intervention brought the situation under control, with normalcy gradually returning to the community.

“Troops of Forward Operating Base Malumfashi were later deployed to the scene to restore order and prevent further breakdown of law and order in the community,” the source stated.

Security operatives have since maintained a presence in the area to reassure residents and prevent any form of reprisal.

Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control, while monitoring continues in the affected community.
