Eight Kano Reps dump NNPP for APC

Eight members of the House of Representatives from Kano State have officially announced their defection from the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The lawmakers announced their defection on Tuesday at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

Dr Ghali Mustapha Tijjani (Albasu/Gaya/Ajingi Federal Constituency)

Barr. Muhammad Bello Shehu (Fagge Federal Constituency)

Their defection was witnessed by Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, as well as a former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje, along with other dignitaries and party leaders.

It would be recalled that Governor Yusuf had earlier defected from the NNPP to the APC.

Yusuf’s former godfather and ally, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, recently defected from the NNPP to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
