According to her, “these strides have continued to resonate with residents, many of whom expressed appreciation for the progress made so far across the local government council area of Lagos state.”

Princess Animashaun assured that the 2026 budget would reflect community-driven priorities, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved when citizens are actively involved in the decision-making process.

She described the budget forum as a demonstration of her administration’s open-door policy and its unwavering commitment to inclusive governance.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner, Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Ahmed Seriki applauded the Chairperson for what he termed purposeful and people-centred leadership.

He hailed her for consistently delivering impactful projects while maintaining a culture of transparency and engagement, adding that Epe Local Government has become “a model for effective grassroots administration in Lagos State.”

Also lending his voice, a former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bola Gbabijo, encouraged residents to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise to register in order not to be disenfranchised.

He stressed that development thrives when citizens actively participate in the democratic process, urging eligible residents to pick up their PVCs as a crucial tool for sustaining good governance.

The event was graced by several dignitaries including the vice chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Araba Taofeek, and other Councillors; former Epe local government Chairman, Hon. Segun Agbaje; Council Manager, Mrs. Giwa Monsurat; APC Epe LGA Chairman, Comrade Toyin Gbadamosi; traditional councils, religious leaders, security agencies, ward chairmen, artisans, NYCN leaders, market executives, women groups, civil society organizations, and residents from across the local government.
