Brave Sokoto residents confront bandits, kill scores, rescue kidnapped community members

In a rare demonstration of extraordinary courage, residents of Bimasa town in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State confronted armed bandits, rescued community members who had been abducted, and neutralized some of the attackers.

Sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the residents pursued the bandits into their forest hideouts and engaged them directly in a daring operation that resulted in the death of several assailants.

The community successfully rescued those who had been taken hostage during the raid.

In a remarkable show of triumph, residents brought the leg of one of the bandits back to the town as trophy.

 

Community leaders commended the residents for their resolve and called on authorities to reinforce the community with maximum security due to the fear of reprisal attack by the bandits.
