A cleaner, Faiza Abdulkadir, who returned N4.8 million mistakenly paid into her bank account has been given a N2.5 million gift from a “good Samaritan”.

The president of Da’awah Wal Irshaad Women Organisation, Borno State, Aisha Muhammad Aisami, presented the N2.5 million cheque to her in Maiduguri, on Monday, September 1.

Aisami said the donor, who chose to remain anonymous, read the story online and reached out to the organization to find the woman and reward her.

Responding, Faiza thanked the donor and the Da’awa organization that facilitated the donation, while calling on people to fear God and stick to the boundaries.

“If you fear God, anything that doesn’t belong to you would not attract you. We should always prepare for eternal life, hereafter, not to be deceived by the worldly gains that are temporary,” she said.

Faiza, a cleaner at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital who earns N30,000 monthly and is financially responsible for her five children and aged mother, also previously got a gift of N1millon, with food items and vocational skills equipment from the state government. The gift was presented last week by Borno State first Lady, Dr Falmata Babagana Zulum.

The state Commissioner of Women Affairs, Zuwaira Gambo, described Faiza’s action as very rare considering her financial challenges
