A 45-year-old electrician has died of electrocution in the Shasha area of Lagos.

The spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, August 17, 2025 said the man was electrocuted while attempting to reconnect electricity cables to a pole.

He said that the incident happened on August 10.

 

“The electrician lost his life while reconnecting electricity cables to ant electric pole at Shasha. When the case was reported, a team of police detectives visited the scene,” the PPRO said.

 

“He was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” the spokesperson said.

 

According to him, investigation is in progress
