25 women abducted on way to wedding in Zamfara

 

At least 25 women have been abducted by suspected bandits in Kurmi town, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to BBC Hausa, the women were reportedly on their way to attend a wedding ceremony when they were intercepted and taken away by the attackers.

In a separate incident, 19 people were also abducted in Galadi, a town in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
Several others sustained injuries during the attack, which occurred in the night.

Both attacks have caused fear and anxiety among residents in the affected communities.

Zamfara State has been experiencing a series of violent attacks in recent years, with rural areas often targeted by armed groups.
