The appointment of Eric Chelle has continued to draw the ire of majority of Nigeria football fans and stakeholders, who expressed untold disappointment and pessimism on the appointment.

However, in a show of patriotism and uncommon belief in the abilities of the Super Eagles to turn its fortunes around and pick the coveted 2026 World Cup ticket, the Nigeria football supporters club led by Ambassador(Rev). Samuel Ikpea, has thrown its massive weight behind the NFF and the newly appointed Eric Chelle to succeed.

In a press release made available immediately after the unveiling of Eric Chelle, Ikpea admonished all football fans and stakeholders to rally support for the new Super Eagles coach, as well as, the country’s football body led by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, in the quest to surmount all odds to pick the seemingly difficult ticket to the 2026 World Cup.

“I want to implore all football fans, stakeholders and investors to support and encourage the newly appointed coach of Super Eagles, Eric Chelle,” he began

“We should all accept the NFF’s decision and come out with one mind to encourage the team, as well as, the coach to ensure our qualification for the 2026 World Cup, because we cannot afford to fail back to back. Every aggrieved stakeholder should for now put the nations first, may be his appointment might be what will take us to qualify, Ikpea stated.

The National Chairman of Nigeria and Africa’s foremost football fans group, added, “we know majority of stakeholders are bitter with the choice of Eric, I want to say that, he is heaven chosen man for now. Let’s throw away all that anger, come together and work in harmony to give our team, the much needed support to ensure our qualification for the 2026 World Cup,” the multiple awards winning football promoter, concluded.
