The NFSC contingent which was led by National Chairman of the Club, Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea sought prayers for the remaining World Cup qualifier matches of the Super Eagles which continues in March next year.

The Super Eagles are yet to win a single match in their World Cup qualifier, as they have recorded 3 draws and a loss and this has become a source of worry to Nigeria’s foremost Supporters Club.

Speaking about the situation, the NFSC boss, Ikpea who described it as a critical situation insisted that it’s time to look at the spiritual angle of this World Cup qualifier and that’s why they are going spiritual to seek the face of God.

“We can’t fold our arms and let the year end without seeking God’s face for our national team” Ikpea stated. “And that’s why we are here”.

“The NFSC is a club that seeks God’s face anywhere because we are a non-denominational club”. “We have Christians, Muslims and traditional worshippers amongst us and when it’s time to seek God we all come together” he added.

While joining the NFSC in their prayer request, Pastor in charge of Trinity House Church, Pastor Itua Ighodolo, prayed God to hear the prayer of Nigeria and thanked the NFSC for their commitment and will to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria and other national teams.

The Super Eagles will continue their World Cup qualifier campaign bid by March next year when they will be looking forward to secure their first victory in the qualifier.
